Contest Regions
Rapido! began in 2009 as a regional contest for just the southeastern United States, but it quickly grew to cover all 50 states with 5 Regional Partner Ensembles. The Partner Ensembles are a critical part of the contest.
If your chamber ensemble is intersted in participating in Rapido!, please contact us to talk about how to get involved in this exciting opportunity to reach new audiences and assist underserved composers.
The current five regions for the Rapido! Composition Contest are broken down as follows:
- Southeast Region: AL, DE, FL, GA, KY, MD, MS, NC, SC, TN, VA, WV, DC
- Northeast Region: CT, MA, ME, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, VT
- Northwest Region: AK, IA, ID, IL, IN, MI, MN, MT, ND, OH, OR, SD, WA, WI, WY
- Southwest Region: AR, AZ, CA, CO, HI, KS, LA, MO, NE, NM, NV, OK, TX, UT
